Public comment: Speakers (up to three minutes) may register beginning at 12:00 p.m. on the day of the Arts Commission meeting at https://bellevuewa.gov/arts-oral-comms or just attend in person or virtually.
Partner Presentation by Studio East of Kirkland, which has summer camps for students age 4 to 17, an arts education program, and upcoming shows The Prom and Wonka Kids.
Update on the commission's draft public art plan for the Grand Connection Crossing. The theme is Refuge, and the guiding principles include Radical Hospitality, Hyper-Local Identity, Community Engagement and Longevity.
Staff will present their recommendations for two Emerging Artist Projects: one in Lake Hills and another in Lakemont. The commission will be asked to endorse the recommended artists. There were 76 applicants that met eligibility requirements and the list was narrowed by a seven-member panel and staff.
Commissioners may express interest in the Grants and Allocations Committee, Public Art Committee, Community Partnerships, and Cultural Planning; assignments will be made after the meeting.
There will be updates on the new BelRed mural, utility box wraps done with the Bellevue High School art club, the recent ribbon-cutting at Crossroads, maintenance plans, and the selection process for Factoria.

A Transportation Investment Survey is open from now until August 10th (link), and it is very short, just asking how you get around now and where you think money should be spent.

Bellevue Essentials, a 10-week civic engagement course, is accepting applications for the 2026 cohort. The program will run from September to November, and participants will be able to meet leaders and learn how the city operates. Applications for e-bike rebates this summer will be accepted from June 15-June 29. https://bellevuewa.gov/pedal-forward-eastside This is separate from the WA state e-bike rebates that have applications at ebikerebate.wsdot-sites.com. These Eastside ones have a higher dollar value ($500 or $2000, depending on whether household income is over 80% AMI [$97k for a household of two]).
