Meetings for the week of August 11th
Clarification on 100th Ave NE Complete Streets/sidewalk project: The City is now in the process of selecting the low bidder and awarding a contract. Construction is anticipated to begin this fall.
KC Metro has released their fall bus map here: https://kingcountymetro.blog/2025/08/06/king-county-metro-adding-more-than-900-weekly-bus-trips-improved-2-line-connections/ This is generally an increase in service, but because of consolidation of the routes, some riders will need to find alternatives, and it may be a good idea to start planning now.

Student transportation costs for buses
Slide 22: Enrollment is rebounding and is expected to exceed 2020 enrollment this year. Resident enrollment is increasing gradually and non-resident enrollment has more than doubled since 2020 (mostly in upper grades). So far there is a 7.1% increase from the 2022–23 low, but it appears we expect more students to enroll for the coming school year (slide 24)
Slide 26: Timeline for capital projects: Puesta del Sol replacement, Newport High School addition and renovation, and Stadium, Evergreen Transitions building and sensory garden, Big Picture addition and renovation, International replacement, and Interlake addition and renovations.
